As you may have noticed, I haven't updated the site in a little while. I recently moved to a new host, am switching to MT4, and am trying to finish up a re-design that will make the site more easily manipulated with CSS "the last redesign you'll ever do." Oh, and I got an iPhone, had my nose surgically broken, and am moving to a new job. Do you need anymore excuses?

  • Apparently some police in Egypt recorded themselves sodomizing a man during an interview to defame him. They ended up in prison themselves after it was posted on the Internet. I really wouldn't recommend watching this video - it's a disturbing reminder of how quickly we can lose our dignity as rights are stripped away. It's also pretty painful to watch.

    Flash forward to US run Abu Ghraib for a a less offensive version of the same thing. Scared?

  • I hate to make light of this kid's horrible experience at summer camp, but come on. This is basically a news piece about a kid who, in his mother's words, had punks "pull him down and rubbed their exposed genitals on his face." That's bad enough not to speak of the banana. How could this possibly make the kid's life better? $50 says people will call him ballstench outside of high school too now.

  • This day in age almost nothing surprises me about our government, we're closer to 1930 than ever before. The last government to test on their own civilians were Nazis. They also used long range tones to make people feel sick or uncomfortable then stopped them when Hitler went in front of the crowd so everyone felt better in his presence. It's nothing more than another version of Hitler using another version of an invisible wave.

    "Nonlethal weapons such as high-power microwave devices should be used on American citizens in crowd-control situations before being used on the battlefield, the Air Force secretary said Tuesday.

    The object is basically public relations. Domestic use would make it easier to avoid questions from others about possible safety considerations, said Secretary Michael Wynne.

    "If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."
